Moodle offers flexibility in learning, allowing students to study and access resources at times that suit them. It is used to deliver ‘online only courses’, as well as support classroom-based courses.
Academic staff in the School have significant experience in developing technology-enhancing educational materials. They are enthusiastic about the benefits of this approach and have developed an exciting and innovative range of tools to support and enhance students’ learning.
Students have access to online activities, presentations, and quizzes, and can participate in discussion forums. Moodle also facilitates easy access to library catalogues and study skills. Students submit their assignments online and receive timely feedback and their results through this system.
Help and support
We are aware that students have different levels of familiarity with using online resources, so we have developed a step-by-step guide and video tutorials for new students, written in plain English. In addition to a comprehensive online ‘help’ facility, our Student Support Services team is also available to assist.
