About the School

The Royal Marsden has a vital role in championing change and improvement in cancer care through research and innovation, education, and leading-edge practice. We are incredibly proud of our international reputation for pushing the boundaries and for our ground-breaking work ensuring our patients receive the very best and latest in cancer treatment and care.

The School was established at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in 2002. It was created to help share the knowledge and expertise of The Royal Marsden - a role we still carry out today.

Unlike any other academic provider, it is firmly embedded within clinical practice. While the core academic team are all highly qualified and experienced educators and clinicians, we also work in collaboration with clinical experts and researchers from across The Royal Marsden. They make a significant contribution to the School's educational development and activity. It is because of this unique educational model that we have an exemplary reputation as a leading, commercially viable provider of specialist cancer education to local, national, and international healthcare professionals and commissioners of education.
