The Royal Marsden School

Victoria Nelson MSc, PGDip, PGCert

Lecturer Practitioner (Dietitian)

Victoria NelsonI  joined the Royal Marsden School in 2021 and prior to this, I was a senior specialist dietitian at the Royal Marsden Hospital. My background has varied across multiple oncology tumour groups; however, my passion and focus have been in gastrointestinal tumours and symptoms. I have worked in a clinical academic pathway for the past five years having been awarded a PAN London fellowship followed by an NIHR pre-doctoral fellowship. Throughout this, I have gained a greater understanding of those living with and beyond colorectal cancer resulting in a passion for nutrition and quality of life in those living with and beyond cancer.
My passion for high-quality education and the development of professionals extends beyond my role in the School and I sit on various committees with my current position being policy officer for the British dietetic association oncology group.
