I joined The Royal Marsden School as Library Services Manager in 2021 moving from Higher Education where I worked as a Library Acquisitions manager having previously worked in Healthcare libraries. I work to ensure that the David Adams Library delivers the necessary resources for our students to succeed in their studies, our resources include the Schools Discovery Search which links students to leading research articles in cancer nursing and medical subject areas. I also support students in searching and finding information to use in their course assignments and ensure that students have access to online learning material to independently achieve their learning objectives.
In addition to supporting the academic work of the School I ensure the library works with the Royal Marsden Trust to meet their information needs in supporting research and patient care. Our work with the trust informs the education and service we provide for students and is a unique feature of the School and Library Service.
